OPENING HOURS
Community Theatre Project
Aġenzija Żgħażagħ once a month carries out detached youth at the City Gates in Valletta. The service is part of a community theatre project in collaboration with Teatru Malta. Youth workers interact in the streets with young people about the short sketch performed by Teatru Malta actors. These sketches focus on diverse themes ranging from relationships, health, conflict and more. The goal of this project is to engage young people in constructive discussions on topics which concern them.
Detached Youth Work
In the Centre of Malta, detached youth work is carried out round the Valletta and Floriana areas, Ħamrun and Marsa areas and at Msida. In both areas we have a team of youth workers who go around twice a week and meet with the young people in the streets. The young people discuss with and on occasions get informed by the youth workers about different matters and opportunities. Furthermore, on different occasions the youth workers help the young people one to one on issues related to employment, schoolwork and referencing to other services. Through detached youth work in these areas we create links with the community and embarke on different projects.
