Youth Cafés are places for young people aged between 13 and 18 and offer a space:
– which is relaxing, attractive, with internet facilities and interactive games
– where young people can socialize and develop good relationships with peers and adults
– where information, advice and reference for further advice/support are available, particularly where young people are experiencing personal problems.
Youth Cafés provide a youth friendly space where young people can come together in a safe, supervised and relaxing environment. Youth Cafés offer alternative sources of entertainment where young people can spend their leisure time and explore their talents while developing the personal and social skills essential in adult life and work.
Youth Cafés also provide opportunities for young people to access mentoring and support from youth workers who assist with school to work transitions, issues with families and relationships and personal development.
