Give back
initiative by young people from siggiewi supported by aġenzija Żgħażagħ

The ‘Give Back Award’ initiative by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ encouraged many young people to participate and get involved in their community to implement ideas of social care, promoting safer communities  during the COVID-19 partial lockdown.

Last Friday 10th July, a group of young people from Siġġiewi got together to implement their Give Back project which received funding support from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ through the Give Back initiative. They organised a fruit and smoothie drive at Dar tal-Providenza, where they gave fruit and smoothies to members of staff and to residents. The aim was to thank the staff for all their hard work, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Through this event, the young people had the opportunity to spend time and engage with the residents at Dar tal-Providenza. The young people working on this initiative were assisted to set up event by Ms Rodianne Haber from the Siġġiewi Local Council.

This event did not only give the residents a smile from ear to ear after receiving the smoothie but also boosted their well-being knowing they are being cared for and valued.
