What is IdeARTI II-Printmaking?
IdeARTI II-Printmaking is a joint collaboration with Mikiel Anton Vassalli College – Malta School of Arts
IdeARTI II-Printmaking is a project-based programme built to support young creatives in developing a final artwork that reflects their personal artistic language. Through a combination of tutorials, seminars, and peer critiques, young creatives will be encouraged to research, explore, experiment with materials, processes and techniques and develop a personal concept through a process-based journey that will manifest itself in creating a final artwork.
Participants in this programme will be invited to develop works focusing on the theme of PERMANENCE.
Young creatives between the ages of 18 and 30, in possession of minimum MQF Level 4 (advanced level) qualification in Visual Arts working with diverse printmaking techniques and who show commitment to further their studies in the Visual Arts and develop a personal artistic practice.
- The space to experiment and create with the continuous support of a mentor.
- A reunification of €300 will be given per participant to support the creation of the works produced along the process.
- A certificate of participation.
- Exhibition of the final projects at the MAVC-Malta School of Art in Valletta.
- A catalogue of the exhibited pieces and the artistic process will also be published.
- A panel of professional judges will select a winner who will be given the opportunity to read a summer course abroad including the expenses of flight ticket, board and lodging.
