What is this scheme all about?
Groundbreakers supports young innovators to respond to challenges by developing an idea that reflects their voice and the space they wish to claim in society.

Who is it for?

  • Groundbreakers is open to the participation of all young people whose age in 2023 will be between 18 to 25 years.
  • Applicants must be Maltese citizens; or be in possession of a Malta residence permit; a Maltese citizenship certificate; or a Maltese passport.
  • Applications are possible for individual young people as well as teams of 3 to 5 young people.

What will it do for me?

  • Participation in a 24-hour Hackathon.

The best ideas will be eligible to receive further support from the programme, and hence will be granted:
