What is Artivisti?
Artivisti, a joint project between Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and Arts Council Malta, identifies some of the best young artistic talent in Malta and provides them with the necessary training, mentoring and networking to develop their creative potential.
Who is it for?
Young people eligible for support should be aged from 18 to 27, show outstanding talent, and wish to pursue a career in the arts.
The selection is carried out through a public nomination process. Nominations may be submitted by an individual, organisation, entity, or institution, whether public, non-governmental or private. Self-nominations are ineligible. The nomination must identify three professional endorsers, ideally in the relevant artistic field.
What will it do for me?
Each selected Artivist will benefit from the following:
-Participation in a year-long interdisciplinary residency programme
-A series of one-to-one mentorship and support opportunities over a core period of 12 months
-A micro-grant of €2,000 towards the creative development of the young artist
-Opportunity to access, and learn from, a nourishing pool of creative talent and a rich network of peers
-A visible ambassadorial role for the arts
-Membership to the alumni community and a lifetime of encouragement, opportunity and support.
