Active citizenship is often understood in terms of voting in local, general or European elections. For some young students these elements seem a little distant and of less importance since they cannot participate directly. Accordingly, the I.S.S.A. – Insahhu l-iSkola bi Studenti Attivi – sessions aim to explore how these students can experience active citizenship in the immediate. These sessions present ways for them through which they can actually contribute during their daily routines, whether at home, at school, in their free time and in their communities.
