After last years success ‘The Secondary School Survival Kit’ programme was once again part of the Summer Programmes 2021 offered by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ. Around 100 young people applied for programme which was offered on different days throughout the week.

This programme was targeted for young people who finished year 8 this scholastic year and it consisted of 8 sessions of one and half hours each.

The aim of this programme was to help young people to obtain skills needed for a smoother transition from middle school to senior school. With the help from this programme young people were able to start focusing more on their future goals, manage their time better, be aware of their strengths, work on their weaknesses and take care of their wellbeing.

After completion of this programme the young people were able to obtain skills to help their transition  towards the next three years of secondary school while also taking care of their wellbeing. The programme also focused on skills related with active citizenship, supporting young people into becoming good citizens within their communities. At the end of the programme, the young people are being presented with a certificate of attendance which can be used as part of their secondary school leaving certificate.
