For many, the festive season this year will be difficult and different due to the ongoing constraints imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through daily posts, the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Gozo Youth Service page will seek to present different Christmas themes and activities that the pandemic has not managed to deprive us of such as Christmas carols, dancing, playing music, painting, creative writing, baking, knitting, participating in sports and also relating personal experiences.
- The first post included several young people from the village of Għajnsielem who shared their experience of volunteering in the Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem project, which this year was cancelled due to the pandemic.
- Another young person, Elena Attard, shared her experience of studying abroad. She has just arrived home for the Christmas holidays and sent a message to other young people encouraging them to seek out opportunities including learning and mobility, and to participate in programmes such as MEP and Young Parliamentarians.
- Gozitan footballer, Emma Xuereb shared her experience of playing with the Maltese national team abroad. The team have just won two important games in Georgia and Israel.
Youth of Gozo (Christmas edition) will come to an end on Christmas day with a final post featuring an interesting interview conducted by a young person currently taking Aġenzija Żgħażagħ’s online Leadership Course.
