The Youth Agency provides young people with the time and space to make friends, learn in alternative ways and develop their talents through our regional youth services and our extensive empowerment programme.
Through our interactive information service for young people, we provide information on services and opportunities for young people as well as listen to their views on issues that impact their lives. Through Eurodesk, the European Youth Charter and our participation in EU programs, young people are given the opportunity to explore life, learning and work throughout Europe.

INSTAPOINT # 35
InstaPoint of 03rd December was all about one of Agenzija Zghazagh’s empowerment programme, Youth.Inc. It gave an insight on what the programme is about and how can young people develop holistically whilst being independent.
ideAzzjonisti is a programme for young people between the ages of 14 and 18 years wishing to participate in active citizenship within their community. During the course of programme, the young people will be given the opportunity to undergo training, carry out research and as ideAzzjonisti they will present their ideas and work related to the theme chosen to their community.
Young Parliamentarians #ejjewniddibattu is a non-formal education programme for students in Years 9, 10, 11 leading to an interschool debating tournament. It is run by Agenzija Zghazagh’s youth workers in 2 phases. During the first phase participants are equipped with skills to present their ideas and petitions for their approval ahead of the #ejjewniddibattu final challenge which closes phase 2. The final challenge will see different school teams take part in a debating competition, with the winning team receiving the Young Parliamentarians trophy and a prize of €750.
The Student Councils Democracy Awards is a programme for all secondary schools and post-secondary institutions. Participating student councils compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards as they implement their Action Plans over a period of one scholastic year. This programme is underpinned by the values of democracy, active citizenship, participation, dialogue, leadership and equality. Eur 150 and Eur 300 are granted to secondary and post-secondary schools respectively as an incentive to take part in this programme. A toolkit guides the process and youth workers are available to support the student councils and the school coordinators.
